What we collect and why:

Shop name & Owner name — to identify and set up your account.
Email address — to deliver your shop login credentials and for support communication only. Never used for marketing.
Phone number (optional) — if provided, used solely for WhatsApp-based support.
Country — auto-detected from your IP address for tax compliance (determines whether GST or export treatment applies on your invoice). Your IP address is not stored; only the resulting country code is retained.
GST number (optional) — if provided, shown on your invoice to support input tax credit claims. Never used for any other purpose.
Payment data — processed directly and securely by Razorpay. We never store your card or bank details.

How your data is used:

Your data is used exclusively to provision and maintain your ShopGestor account and to communicate with you regarding that account or support requests. We will never sell, rent, share, or use your data for advertising or any purpose beyond the above.

Data sharing:

Your personal data is not shared with any third party except Razorpay (payment processing, governed by Razorpay's Privacy Policy).

Retention:

Data is retained for the duration of your active subscription and for up to 3 years after account closure, as required for legal, tax, and audit compliance. You may request earlier deletion (see below).

Your rights:

Access or receive a copy of your personal data.
Correct inaccurate data.
Request deletion ("right to be forgotten") where no legal obligation requires retention.
Withdraw your consent at any time (this will not affect the lawfulness of prior processing).

This processing is governed by the Indian Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). For users in the European Economic Area, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies.
